CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Lisa Kasten, sole owner of Accessory Sports, LLC., fulfilled her life-long dream by starting this innovative company in April 2007. Kasten’s vision was to create a company that produces sports-related items made of quality materials that appeal to a wide audience and could be used by organizations to generate fund-raising. Kasten, a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelors of Science in Communication, began her career with Marriott International. Kasten’s position as a Sales Manager led to supervision of the Sports Market. As a result of her hard work, Kasten was voted Marriott International’s Sports Representative of the Year in 1984. In 1988, Kasten left Marriott in order to care for her children fulltime. During this time, the family moved oversees and spent time residing in Amsterdam and Hong Kong. Throughout her travels, Kasten was able to secure a position with HK Homefront as a relocation specialist to executives and then as an investor with Ellespa, Asia’s top ranked health spa. In addition to her other ventures, Kasten also created a home-based business selling Ipa-Nima brand purses to retailers, a career she continued upon her return to the United States. In 2002, Kasten expanded the Ipa-Nima line with contracts to Bloomingdales, Nordstrom’s, Henry Bendel and more. Utilizing the knowledge gained both in her travels abroad, her sales experience and with the Ipa-Nima brand, Kasten decided to begin developing the idea that would one day become Accessory Sports. Her contacts in the Asian manufacturing industry and the observations she made while serving as a volunteer with various sport organizations or on the Jr. Orange Bowl Committee, Kasten believed her concept for novelty sports items was unique and would be a profitable business venture. By incorporating the ability for other organizations to use these items for fund-raising, Kasten ensured that just about any individual, business or non-profit would find her products useful. |
